Following the posting examples and style of the good people at the Rx, I decided to do a post as well.

NY Jets at Pittsburgh
On paper, the Steelers are deserving favourites, as they seem to have an edge on the Jets in many categories. The important question I would like to ask is what can go wrong for the Steelers? I can only think of four things. Turnovers, they can go either way 50/50. Roethlisberger could get hurt, like he did in the last game he played. The Steelers could choke. The Jets could maybe play above their heads. No one really expects the Jets to win. They should be loose, and with getting some luck to win last week, it may carry over and Jets could continue to roll this week. Take the NY Jets +9.

St. Louis at Atlanta
The quirky thing about this game, if St. Louis had to play on the road, a dome with artificial turf is where they would want to play. Atlanta looks like they got a good team, but not a great team. St. Louis has a hot QB right now, and their defense did play well against a fairly good offensive team last week. Rams in similar sitation as the Jets. Take the St. Louis Rams +7.

Minnesota at Philadelphia
The big weakness on the Vikings defense is their linebacking. Expecting the Eagles to use Westbrook a lot in slot running short and down field pass routes to confuse those young Vikings linebackers. Eagles defense will do a better job of containing Vikings offense than the other way round. If the Eagles best players on offense and defense can play like they can, it will be a blow out. Take Philadephia -9.

Indianapolis at New England
The Colts seem to have improved on both sides on the ball since last year, and since the first game of the season between these two. The Pats meanwhile have continued winning but with a depleted lineup from injuries. The only way for New England to win is to out score them, not out defend them. A good team like the Colts probably learned their lessons the first two times, and the injuries on Pats defense do matter. Take Indianapolis +1½.
